 | About BarryBarry Greenway a retired and married grandfather with two sons and six grandchildren. A Town Councillor in Harleston and Vice Chairman of the Ameneties committee at Terence Airey Court the Sheltered Housing complex in the town. Has, with many others, played and active part in fighting plans to site a Travellers site in Rushall Road and spoken on many occasions regarding this subject for the benefit of the Town. He is also a voluntary speaker for the East Anglian Air Ambulance Service and is also involved in orher voluntary charity work with the Border Hopper, Citizens Advice Bureau,The British Heart Foundation and the Workers Education Association, also a regular member of the Harleston Probus Group. In his spare time is an active member of Diss and District Bowls Club playing both indoors and outdoors and is Captain of one of the leagues outdoor teams. He is also a playing member of the Zippers Bowls Association (for those players who have had heart problems) . | About JeremyJeremy Savage is 69, married to Caroline, and has three daughters 20,18 and 16, who have been educated at Bungay Schools. Jeremy is a tenant farmers son and was educated at Writtle Agricultural College and all his life has been involved in agriculture. When he first came to this area he worked at Ellingham and Earsham Mills for Vitovis. Jeremy first lived in the Diss area in 1962 and has been involved in South Norfolk politics since then, he was on Harleston Town Council for 9 years, and then 12 years on Brockdish Parish Council, for most of which he was Chairman. He was a Governor at Brockdish Primary School for 15 years. Jeremy is keen to be given the opportunity to serve the people of Earsham, Wortwell On the District Council. He feels passionately South Norfolk taxes are becoming “such an increasing burden” that the time has come for a drive towards “value for money and economies”, within our District Council.
