About Daniel

Daniel is 37 and has lived and worked in Wymondham since his family moved to the town in the 1980s.

During his spare time, Daniel has an active interest in Wymondham community life and is keen to preserve the character of the Town. He is currently, as a Director of the Wymondham Development Partnership and as Chairman of the “Building a Community” Working Group, aiming to create an active and vibrant town. Daniel is also a member and past President of Wymondham Lions, Chairman of the Cemetery Enhancement Project and a Lizard Trustee.

In 1999, Daniel was elected as a Town Councillor and District Councillor for the Rustens Ward in Wymondham and re-elected in 2003 to serve again on South Norfolk Council. He is also leader of Norfolk County Counciil. He has worked hard to serve the residents of Rustens Ward and would now relish the opportunity to serve Wymondham on Norfolk County Council.

Daniel's Record representing Wymondham

Daniel has represented the residents of Rustens ward in Wymondham on South Norfolk Council for the last seven years. He has campaigned:

  • To keep Council Tax levels as low as possible by ensuring that monies are spent on good quality services, not bureaucracy and administration.
  • Against the over-development of Wymondham – too many houses, insufficient infrastructure and fought to preserve the character of the Town.
  • To put right the poor state of roads and pavements in Wymondham.
  • For the introduction of CCTV in Wymondham Town Centre to help stop the vandalism and unruly behaviour.
  • To improve facilities for young people in the town.
