Diss Roydon About JennyHaving moved to Diss with my parents in 1967 (my father, Dr. Victor Goulder was a local GP), I have lived here for many of the last 38 years and feel that I have much to offer as the prospective County Councillor for Diss and Roydon. I was married in 1978 and have two grown up children, one working locally and the other working in London. I retired from the family business two years ago and now feel that I have time to devote to representing the people of Diss and Roydon as your County Councillor. As a very active member of the Diss and District Industry Group, I learnt much about the needs of local businesses, which I feel will be helpful in my work as a County Councillor. Diss and Roydon are a thriving area of South Norfolk although it would be good to see the development of a Leisure Centre and in the longer term a by-pass for Roydon and Diss. Elected to Diss Town Council in 1987 I served for 4 years and in addition to Town Council work was involved in the work of Diss Citizens Advice Bureau, Diss Youth Centre and the Diss Crime Prevention Panel. I was a member of the Corn Hall Committee which agreed to convert its redundant outbuildings – these became The Stables meeting room. I was also involved with the conversion of the Shambles to the excellent Diss Museum. When the new Diss Infants School was completed in Fitzwalter Road, I helped form the Friends of the School and was its first Chairman. We are fortunate to live in an area which has many attractive features. Please give me your support by voting for me on May 5th. I pledge that I will work closely with South Norfolk District Council, Diss Town Council and Contact Jenny Jenny Chamberlin Email
