About Judith 

Judith Virgo is the experienced candidate.

She has worked as a senior lecturer at Norwich City College for 19 years in Hotel Management and more recently for the last 8 years for Social Services at Norfolk County Council.

She was a Norwich City Councillor for 8 years between 1987 and 1995.

I have lived in Cringleford for seven years and in Norwich for twenty years. I was a Senior Lecturer in Hotel Management at Norwich City College where I was also awarded my Masters degree.

For the last eight years I have worked for Social Services at Norfolk County Council and I am now retired.

Currently, I am a Governor of Hethersett High School and Chairman of the Norwich Decorative and Fine Arts Society. I was a Norwich City Councillor for eight years and a member of the Housing, Planning, Environmental Services, Leisure and Communwity Services and Joint Museums committees.

In my spare time I like to travel, support the Theatre Royal and enjoy all types of music from classical to rock and roll.

My priorities will be:

• providing efficient, good quality services which are value for money
• maintaining excellence of choice in education as the key to personal and economic well-being
• balancing environmental considerations against the needs of the economy so as to ensure a worthwhile inheritance for future generations
• helping the more vulnerable members of our community.
