South Norfolk District Councillor for Brooke Ward

Representing the Parish of Roydon

Captain David Goldson, Royal Navy

David Goldson and his wife have lived in Roydon for ten years. They have three children and six grandchildren.
He comes from a Norfolk family established over many generations in the farming industry. He is currently a governor at Roydon Primary School.
He was Educated at Reigate Grammar School, where he played a full part in all aspects of school life, including sports, scouts, drama and language clubs. He joined the Royal Navy as an officer cadet at the age of eighteen and served for thirty years as an engineer officer, mainly in nuclear submarines, retiring in the rank of Captain.
David loves Roydon. He is keen to maintain its unique character, independent of but closely linked with Diss. If elected, David will work hard for all the residents of the Ward, irrespective of their normal political views.
